In 2016 I was living on Maui and was starting to play the flute. I attended an ayahuasca ceremony where the person leading it played a double flute. The entire time he played I received a message to start making my own flutes. A few weeks later I was buying some simple tools and some wood to start trying to make my own. In my first attempt I made something that played but needed a lot of refinement.

In 2018 I created ElementalFlutes.com and have been ever evolving the flutes that I offer, from Single Flutes to Mayan Temple Flutes to Triple Harmony Flutes.
After 7 years of learning and growing, I feel like I have settled into my making style which offers the most consistent sound, tuning and playability possible. |

In March of 2021 Tyler started apprenticing with Elemental Flutes. As a Sound Engineer and Multi Instrumentalist, Tyler always dreamed of learning to create his own instruments.
After 3 years of apprenticing, Tyler is now a major part of Elemental Flutes and helps with many aspects of our business. His specialty is Double and Triple Flutes utilizing the half and half wood design. |
